Google’s dark mode is a setting that can be turned on in some of the company’s apps to make the background black or very dark gray, and the text white or light gray.

The idea behind dark mode is to make it easier on your eyes when you’re using your phone or computer in low-light conditions. Google says that “dark mode cuts down on blue light, which can be harder on your eyes at night.”

So far, Google has rolled out dark mode to its messaging app Allo, and its video call app Duo. The company is also working on adding a dark mode to its popular email service Gmail.

If you’re someone who spends a lot of time on your phone or computer, you may have noticed a new trend: dark mode. So what is a dark mode? The dark mode is simply a setting that changes the color scheme of an app or website from a light background with dark text to a dark background with light text.

This can help reduce eye strain and make it easier to read for long periods. Dark mode can also help conserve battery life on devices with OLED or AMOLED screens, as these screens don’t have to work as hard to display black pixels. While the dark mode isn’t suitable for every situation (for example, if you’re trying to read in low light), it’s becoming increasingly popular as more and more people adopt it into their daily lives.

So next time you’re looking for a way to reduce eye strain or conserve battery life, consider turning on dark mode!
